Since the 2 1/2" slats are wider than traditional 2” slats, the spaces between slats also appear wider when the blinds are open. Wider slats offer a better view.

 

When blinds are combined with plantation shutters in a home, 2 1⁄2” slats are the preferred choice.  The wider slats of these blinds compliment either the 2 1⁄2” or 3 1⁄2” louver sizes of plantation shutters.
